Feel free to contact us [email protected] H.E.A.L stands for Human trafficking Education AIDS / HIV Leadership This camp is an English-language summer camp for Ukrainian youth, organized by American Peace Corps volunteers focused on empowering the future leaders of Ukraine. Over the course of the week, the counselors teach a series of lessons about the biology and transmission of HIV/AIDS and common stigma and discrimination. There are also lessons on leadership, volunteerism, fundraising, project design and management, human trafficking, human rights, and other electives. Students in these camps not only have a chance to speak English with native speakers, but also with some of the best students that Ukraine has to offer. Here, we learn about important global issues and becoming global citizens. With these skills, students will take part in different projects and even design their own about issues that affect not just Ukraine but the whole globe. Camp HEAL is a lot more than just teaching lessons: we play different games and sports in the afternoons and have team activities in the evening. There are also different morning exercises offered each day such as running, yoga, basketball, street workouts, martial arts, African dance, hip-hop dance, and a lot more.
