Devil May Cry 1
The story of "Devil May Cry" follows the hero Dante, a half-human, half-demon who must save the world. He is the son of the legendary Sparda, who fought against the evil forces, years earlier. Dante's task is not an easy one, as he must fight his way through an unstoppable army of darkness in his quest to face the ultimate evil: Mundus. The emperor of darkness himself has come back to raise "hell", trying one more time to take control of the world. Dante, a private investigator of the supernatural, is seeking revenge for the death of his mother and brother. However, Dante comes face to face with his destiny, discovering the evil conspiracy goes back thousands of years and that the evil Mundus has arisen a new. With his twin set of guns, and his father's sword, he'll find out how far he can go.
Devil May Cry 2
DMC 2 features our now familiar Dante as the main character, and this time around he seems to be more in touch with his demonic and darker side in both look an appearance. The game also features a second playable character, a heroine named Lucia. DMC 2 also features improved visuals, not that the first DMC looked bad in any way. The introduction of Matrix inspired effects like insane wall running and bullet-time effects results in one big adrenaline trip! The gaming community has been pretty much split in half when comparing DMC2 to the first game. Some people hated the new changes Capcom made to the game, while others saw them as improvements. The only way to find out though is to play the game yourself.
Devil May Cry 3
DMC3 is naturally the third game in the now extremely popular Devil May Cry series. Since the game will be a prequel, the story takes place before DMC1 and DMC2.
HIGHLIGHTS:
-Devil May Cry 3 is a prequel
-There will be a new feature called the "Style System". You will be able to choose a specific style at the beginning. Gunslinger, Sword master, Trickster, and Royal Guard are the four styles revealed thus far. As you progress through the game, you can distribute points into categories related to the style you are using. Each style has its advantages and disadvantages. How Dantes Demon powers will work is still a secret, but he gradually remembers powers as you progress through the game.
-Brand new 3D engine
-New female character
-Some mission will have no bosses while other will have multiple ones.
-More interaction will surrounding and weather effects. (pray for rain)
-New special effects. For example, an enemy might form from sand, spew sand when hit, and return to sand when you kill it.
-Tanaka admits that DMC2s large open level design meant that most players could use guns for the entire game. In DMC3, the levels have been designed to test long range and melee fighting skills equally.
-Many of the games stylish action features will not be in the E3 demo to avoid spoiling the surprise
Devil May Cry 4
For most of us this was no big surprise, it wasn’t too hard to guess that Devil May Cry 4 would be a PS3 game. Nevertheless this is great news for all Devil May Cry fans, and though the footage we have seen so far doesn’t really give much away, we are quite confident that Capcom will take advantage of the power of the PS3 and make Devil May Cry 4 into the coolest game on this planet.
