Welcome to Arkhangelsk! The group is for everyone who would like to, is going to, has to, used to, or has been to Arkhangelsk and/or Arkhangelsk region. And also for those who's happened to live here. The main idea is to broaden the area and number of couch surfers both guesting and showing off. :) There is many an interest about Arkhangelsk. Not only because of charming people who live there, but also due to its important role during the Russian Civil War and then during World War II. It is one of the places where aid to White Russian Army passed through and all that. Besides, the Solovki islands — the greatest tourists' and pilgrims' stronghold — are also the part of Arkhangelsk region. Every April we have European Spring Festival in Arkhangelsk. The Street Theatres Fesival takes place here every summer. As well as Jazz Festival where you can find musicians from all over the world. There is Malye Karely open-air museum of wooden architecture in Arkhangelsk. They often shoot movies there.
