The Phean Project is a socio-economic world view, philosophy, and movement which seeks to unify the BRICS nations and those of Brazillian, Russian, Indian, Chinese and South African heritage into a global network. Generally The Phean Project calls for a socially, artistically and economically innovative unity of the "New World Order". The mission is to always be a visible catalyst for philosophical change that is informed by traditional cultural practices and explored through contemporary art forms.
Starting in Johannesburg in 2013, the project has moved to Moscow where South African perspectives on rhythm in dance have been merged with Russian melodies and musical practice. This first leg of the project, 'Pheanpadim', is an extension of the idea to be "A multicultural approach to creating art, that is layered with diverse cultural knowledge to identify, showcase, network and expose thought that need not be limited by conventions we have been confined to."
The product is a storytelling performance between people from two continents and cultures, the result is the audience's interpretation…
